I made a promise to God after battling cancer, if He gave me the activity my limbs, better health including no headaches, I would use my gifts and talents to continuously serve Him. Each and every day I serve Him on purpose. Not only is it something I love to do and enjoy but I love the joy it brings to others as well.
Exercise and dance bring me such peace and happiness. It gives me fulfillment. Now I do understand that not everyone feels the same. It doesn’t have to be dance for you. Maybe it’s biking for you, practicing Tik toks, or learning a new fitness format. Any type of physical activity or exercise can improve your health and reduce the risk of developing several diseases like cancer, type 2 diabetes, and cardiovascular disease. Performing some sort of movement can have immediate and long-term health benefits. More importantly, it has a major impact by improving your quality of life.
Now that you have that in mind, then the focus is on when you will make the time to do it. It's said, we make time for what we want and those things or people that are most important to us. There are 24 hours in a day and what we do is totally up to us. You might agree that no matter what we do, it still doesn't seem like enough time in a day. There are some people who use the 24 hours of the day to effectively and diligently work towards their goals, while others let time pass by. How do you use and value your time? In choosing what to devote your time to each day, we have to ensure we take care of ourselves. Time has become a lot more precious since my cancer journey. It's something I don't take for granted. For me, this means getting back physically active and doing what I love. I make it a priority to do at least a 10-30min workout, go for a walk, or do a full hour workout. We make time for those things that are important to us. Having the ability to move is everything to me. When something is taken from you, it means that much more. We can have that "One day or Day One" attitude. Start your day with a To-Do List. Your to-do list can set the tone of your entire day. Try creating a manageable schedule or workout while watching TV in the evening. Choose this day which route you will take. The route you take has lasting impressions and is impactful. It's an important step forward that affects your life, the life of those around you, and shows you're serious about changing your current situation. I challenge you to learn how to best manage your time, learn new ways to get things accomplished, there's no such thing as not enough time- Make the time!
Much needed reminder!! Thank you 😊
