Give thanks in all circumstances for it is God's will for you! Thank you for caring enough about my character and life to test me while I wait. Help me to see my trials as a sign of your love, and to be thankful for it. I pray for strength through your Holy Spirit to walk in obedience, discernment, perseverance, and tenacity. Giving thanks in trials can change your scope of reasoning. By giving life's trials as an offering to God, it gives us power to rise above the ugliness of situations that have you defeated. Sometimes we can even discover the blessing amongst the trials. Show an attitude of gratitude, talk to Him in the low times and even in the highest. Praise Him anyhow! Having a sincere thankfulness can simply be an offering: a hope and a faith put in a promise yet to be fulfilled. It's a faith in believing God's truth that "all situations work together for those who love God and are called according to His purpose" (Romans 8:28)
Many of us have challenges by the day, what's life without them? What I discovered was complaining didn't change a thing. Complaining did not bring me closer in the presence of God. Psalms 100:4 says we are to enter into his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise. If we are thankful, we won't even get into the gate! I don't know about you, but that is definitely where I want to be. If we do want to enter into God's sweet presence, we must lay to the side all complaining and bickering.
Some battling cancer can have an irritable attitude that may be keeping them from enjoying God's presence, while others may embrace the sweet presence and are easygoing and cheerful. Each morning, try looking at all you have to thank God for, list them out, show a sincere heart of gratitude, and then enter into your day with praise for all He has done for you.
Thankfulness recognizes that it doesn't have to perfect or exactly how I want it for me to say "Amen".
