Pray, Listen, Wait

"Cause me to hear Your loving-kindness in the morning, for on You do I lean and in You do I trust. Cause me to know the way wherein I should walk, for I lift up my inner self to You." Psalm 143:8

We need to pray, listen, and wait. Joyers Meyers once said , sometimes we can hear God as a still, small voice from deep within our heart. Many times God will speak through our inner witness so that we "just know" the truth and it sets us free. Suddenly we know what we should or shouldn't do.

My generation of believers were once referred to as a microwave generation- we want things with a quickness. I believe we all have our own connections with the creator. I personally, pray often, watch and wait for God to speak to my heart just like that of King David. I like reading that same confirmation. I liked knowing that God is listening for our prayers. He loves it when we listen to His answers too. Its our part in discerning the voice of God.

To add to this concept I share some recent thoughts from a motivation speaker, Jorquel Quinn entitled “Don’t rush the wait!” During the “wait” we experience 3 phases: Test of Faith, Test of Patience, and the Test of Trust. In this process we Pray for his will and way too be done and then have concerns with how he wants to do it . How can we pray for our circumstances to change if we haven’t given him the trust in how he wants to handle it??

Isaiah 40:31 says, “they that wait on the Lord shall renew their strength”.

Key Takeaway here is: “Don’t rush the wait and miss the opportunity God is aligning for you. There’s purpose in the wait!”
