I often repeat the words of Pastor Tony Evans "A setback is just a setup for a comeback". These are the opportunities to prove the strength of God and the will power to press on despite what tries to keep you down! We all go through trials and test-they don't come to cause us instability. We don't have to waver in our confidence, because we know who our help lies in. We shouldn't let anything keep us from making progress today or any day for the matter, because he is our strength.
Psalms 18:1-2 "I love you fervently and devotedly, O lord, my strength. The lord is my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my keen and firm strength in whom I will trust and take refuge, my Shield, and the Horn of my salvation, my HIGH TOWER”. I pray you find strength in him when life seems troublesome. Know that we can find progress even in the midst of trouble. God sees all, hears all, and knows all things even before we pray about it. Know what may be troubling you now is preparing you for greater and better. It’s molding you to be the best version of yourself. God makes no mistakes- if he allowed it to happen, it’s for a reason. Sometimes we don't see the benefit until seasons later.
In my own recovery and rediscovering my passion for dance and fitness, I do not try to dance better than anyone else. I only try to dance better and be better than I was the day. Of course I want to strive for greatness like before my diagnosis. Be the best version of yourself! Keep challenging yourself to think better, do better, and be better. Yesterday is gone we can't change the past. Tomorrow hasn't come. We only have today, let us begin there. :)
