As a grace girl of the First Baptist Church of Glenarden, I have learned what it means to be relentless. Being relentless means pursuing the righteousness of God by any means necessary! Regardless of what storms come my way, I have to push on. Pressing through the difficultly of cancer, the loss of relationships and friendships, family challenges, and other challenges of life, I continue to call on him.
When you’re going through something, you have to have the mindset that you will finish it and finish strong! Our purpose in life isn't for us, it's what we can do for others. As a relentless and resilient woman of God, it’s not always easy to see things in this scope. When life knocks you down, you have to get back up. Sometimes that means crawling before you walk. In order to do this though, we have to become self aware, be mindful, take care of self, maintain positive relationships & live in purpose. These pillars will create a new mindset to live a relentless life.
To achieve success in any area of life, you must be unwavering in your pursuit! Be God-praying and God-seeking. Many of my treatments involved me listening to gospel music and praying that God would get me through this process. Even through my medical challenges, faith and prayer were attached to it. I had to have a fierce desire that was fueled by the determination to prosper. I am alive to be able to tell my relentless story! We all have one!
Isaiah 43:1 tells me that He alone formed me and already knew my story. He has redeemed me and called me by name. He knew everything I was going through and will go through in my life. We are destined for greatness even through the storm. Sometimes it’s hard to weather the storm. But know this, storms run out of rain. They too pass away. God allows the light to shine through.
Be relentless and know God can do the impossible!
